Water was such a balm when I was with child. I think most people are drawn to bodies of water, but I found it especially true during that time as I appreciated the weightlessness offered by the liquid when submerged on an otherwise swelling and uncomfortable body. This is a view of a pool at a hotel we stayed at in rural Provence. The summer was waning at this time but the pool still provided some welcomed tranquility.
