The Uncontainable Waters

24” x 24”

26.5” x 26.5” framed (hardwood maple with UV-protective museum glass)

Acrylic, oil, colored pencil & embroidery thread on unstretched St. Mary's cotton

Another scene at the Cascades du Sautadet. Rivulets descend from every crevice here which feels like a miracle in the otherwise parched late summer landscape. The jagged nature of the water-carved limestone adds to the effect that the waters are uncontainable as they jumble messily downwards.
