Like most people this year, my travel plans came to a screeching halt with covid-19. The only trips that went un-cancelled were a small handful of raft trips, mostly through desert landscapes. So the sagebrush and the distant purples of geological formations across a vast desert floor made up the majority of my landscape musings this summer. Sagebrush was painted from memory after a trip on the San Juan river through Utah.
