“Hunter” is titled as such as it draws from the landscape around Independence Pass, CO, which was once called Hunter Pass. The piece portrays the evolution of the high mountain pass as it shifted from a wild, untouched territory to one molded by man after the discovery of gold in the nearby mountains brought mining to the region.
