Noelle is a watercolor and mixed media artist who brings a fresh perspective into her landscape themes through creative texturing via embroidery, and abstract detail atop realistic subjects. She has been painting all over the American West during the last decade. As an environmental scientist by trade, she brings her left-brain attention to detail and discipline into her artwork, allowing the same topics that drive her professional work to seep into her art to inspire people to respect and wonder at natural resources. She holds a BS in Biochemistry and an MS in Environmental Science, and currently lives in Denver, CO.

Noelle grew up in a small town in the Sierra Nevada. Throughout her life, she has tried to spend as much time as possible outside. The impossibility of re-creating the intricate beauty of the natural world drives her to add abstraction to her watercolor pieces through the use of alternative mediums such as embroidery - allowing the viewer to join her in an exploration of nature’s treasures. She believes that humans have been moving farther away from their wild roots, and she tries to bring outdoor inspiration and awe into her viewers’ daily lives with her artwork. Her favorite themes are abstract mountain and desertscapes- places that have always drawn her peacefully away from the hustle of human life and back to tranquil balance.
